POLYMNIA

Naxos town – Panagia Kaloritsa – Spiliotissa – Old Olive Tree

Polymnia, was in Greek mythology the Muse of sacred poetry, sacred hymn!

She will be our companion in this photographic journey to the past, today!!!Kaloritsa Monastery!!! We will have the good fortune to visit and admire this living monument, which combines natural beauty with the eutrophic architecture of our ancestors and their faith. Partially hidden, but visible, with a fine panoramic view as far as Paros. The path to Kaloritsa (30-minute climb)….breathtaking! Don’t forget to look behind the abandoned monastery!!!

Next, we drive to another spiritual location, to visit a natural, underground cave that has been formed in a chapel, the chapel of Panagia Spiliotissa. How could we describe this photographic theme…if only we could capture the spiritual feeling! Have your souls, mind and eyes open!!!
Final….the Old Olive Tree!!! Wrong….The Oldest Olive Tree in the World! Here in Naxos!! And still living!!!! Under its leaves we ‘ll have a tasty picnic, chat, laugh, take photographs! What a photobook you’ll create and stories you’ll tell…
