Naxos town – Damalas – Damarionas – Panagia Drosiani – Filoti
Hello!!! Hello!! Are you ready? Let’s go!!!!
The Islanders van starts its engine and drives to Damala village!
Two traditional monuments make the village famous: The old olive mill (1850), where we ‘ll have the opportunity to admire the machines of that time and why not to try to produce a little oil, and The traditional pottery of Manolis Libertas where we’ll learn the art of pottery!!!
Next destination…the old village of Damariona!! A traditional settlement, with paved alleys whitewashed with taste, arches and several squares.
You won’t leave your camera down!!!
On our way back, we ‘ll visit the Paleochristian Church of Panagia Drosiani, a complex of temples creating a cross. A magnificent photographic theme, due to its unique architecture and history.
Leaving Drosiani, we are heading to Filoti village where we ‘ll make a stop for a traditional Naxian treat of homemade bread, cheese and raki!!!!
Stin Ygeia mas!!!
